The European manufacturer Airbus has selected the Spanish company Aernnova, with several plants in Andalusia, as one of its three best suppliers on aerostructures, after receiving the prize "Accredited Member 2015", together with GKN and Sonaca.
In 2011 Airbus launched the SQIP program aimed at promoting quality improvement of companies which are part of the supply chain, establishing a competition based on objective indicators to reward the best. Aernnova was distinguished in 2012 with the "Best Improver" award and in 2013 with the "Best Performance".
After this new recognition, Aernnova becomes one of the companies that will now help to improve processes of lesser rank suppliers for more efficient Airbus supply chain. Aernnova works actually for most of Airbus programs: A350 XWB, A380, A330-A340 and A320.
This recognition of Airbus and the four "Silver" awards by Boeing since 2011 to the engineering division, credited to Aernnova is on the top within the world’s aerostructures Tier 1 suppliers ranking.
