Airbus Military, patron of Helice Cluster, has closed several major
contracts for the C295 program that will involve new workload for Andalusian
firms in the sector during the last weeks. The manufacturer has received an
order from the air force of Poland to incorporate five new aircraft C295, which
becomes the most important user of the aircraft, with 16 units including this
last Commission. These aircraft will begin to be delivered this year, to
complete the order during the next 2013, according to Airbus Military.
The company has also managed to close with Colombia an order for
another C295 aircraft with tactical transport settings. This aircraft will be
used in military transport and humanitarian relief missions and will join the
fleet of four units that Colombia air force operates from 2008.
The delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for February 2013. In addition to the
signing of these contracts, the company has also reached another milestone with
the delivery to the Ministr5y of Defense, Indonesia of the first two aircraft
C295 of nine included in the contract signed by Airbus Military and the company
PT Derazona Indonesia last February and has an amount of around 247€ millions.
The handover took place on September 19 in the facilities of
Airbus Military at San Pablo (Seville), in a ceremony presided by the
Indonesian Deputy Minister of Defense, lieutenant general Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin,
and the Vice President and head of programs of Airbus Military, Rafael Tentor.
The company also delivered at the end of August the first three C212 maritime
patrol aircraft ordered by the maritime police of Vietnam.
