The Airbus Military Training Centre, which will be completed shortly and which is located on the company’s site at San Pablo Sur, now has the new flight simulator for the C295 airlifter.

The simulator arrived in Seville in late February from Canada, where it was developed by Canadian Aviation Electronics (CAE).

Following the installation process, last April the functional tests began, which will continue for three months. The flight simulator for the Cn235 which is currently in use at the Airbus Military Training Centre at San Pablo norte will be transferred to the new centre this summer.

The staff of the new facilities have already begun to verify the flight profiles on the new simulator which will form part of the training courses. It will then open its doors to purchasing customers who wish their crews to receive specific training before flying this aircraft.

The installation of the flight simulator for the A400M by Airbus Military is expected to take place some months prior to the delivery of the first aircraft, in late 2012 or early 2013.

The Training Centre has three further bays for the installation in the future of three additional flight simulators in addition to those mentioned above for the A400M, the C295 and the Cn235.
