Military, has been appointed President and CEO of Airbus Military EADS PZL
“Warszawa – Okecie” S.A. as of 23rd September 2013, succeeding Javier Díaz Gil,
who is taking up a new role as CEO of Alestis, a tier 1 aerospace supplier,
based in Spain.

In his new position Mr. Steinmetz will report directly to
Miguel Ángel Morell, Head of  Operations
of Airbus Military, and he will be responsible for the industrial activities of
the company, which include production of subassemblies for different Airbus and
Airbus Military programmes (A330, C295, and CN235), the development, flight
test and production of the turboprop trainer PZL-130 Orlik TC-II, as well as
the company’s MRO Service Centre in Warsaw and its Aviation Services Unit in

He graduated as an Aeronautical Engineer in the Polytechnic University
of Madrid and started his professional career in 2000 in the newly created Military
Transport Division (MTA) of EADS as Procurement Engineer in the Mission &
Electronic Warfare Systems area. In 2009, Felipe Steinmetz was appointed Head
of Procurement & Supply Chain for the A330 MRTT programme and of all Airbus
Military Programs related to airframes.
