Your gateway to international growth markets:
Nearly a quarter of European small- and medium-sized
enterprises export or have exported at some point during the last three years,
mostly within the EU Single Market. However, countries such as Russia, Brazil,
China or India offer a huge untapped market potential, which is estimated will
account for about 60% of world GDP by 2030. At present, these markets are only
served by less than 10% of exporting European enterprises.
European Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani will
continue his visits to these growth regions to help European enterprises to
better profit from fast growing emerging markets. Vice-President Tajani
stresses that: "Major non-EU markets with strong growth rates represent
significant opportunities for European enterprises. To help them to better
exploit their potential in the global arena is a clear priority to boost
competitiveness and create employment."
Moreover, in the framework of the "EUROPE 2020
Strategy for Growth: Promoting Business Partnerships in Europe", the
Vice-President also heads missions to European member states to stimulate
employment, business activity and growth of the local economy.
The Missions for Growth are usually linked to renowned
international brokerage events. You will be able to meet and discuss business
ventures with major companies and entrepreneurs in these markets. Spearheaded
by Vice President Tajani, participation in the Missions for Growth will also
offer you the unique opportunities to meet and network with important political
decision makers and local authorities.
