The Turkish Prime Min- ister, Recep Tayyip Er- dogan, visited the facili- ties of Airbus Military in Seville on 23 February, accompanied by 10 ministers of the Turk- ish government which included the Defence Minister, Vecdi Gonul, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmet Davutoglu.

The CEO of EADS, Louis Gallois, and the General Director of Airbus Military, Domingo Ureña, met the Turkish Prime Minister and showed him the final assembly line (FAL) for the A400M military airlifter and medium and light airlifters located at San Pablo.

Turkey is one of the eight partner nations of the A400M programme, with an order of ten aircraft. Its Air Force, Army and Coast Guard service operate a total of 58 CN-235 aircraft by Airbus Military, nine of which are Maritime Patrol versions. The visit to the facilities of the Seville plant ended with the signing by the Turkish Prime Minister of the honorary visitor’s book.
